The Taswell 56 has a true classic fast cruising profile, with a low superstructure and a long keel offering superb handling and steady course keeping. The wide beam allows for excellent accommodation without sacrificing performance. In short a yacht eminently capable of making long comfortable passages with speed and style, short handed if necessary.

The standard six berths are arranged with a double owners' cabin aft, with two more roomy doubles situated forward and port side. All immaculately finished with plenty of storage space for headroom.

The cleverly designed navigation station set to the side, where all instruments and radio are set above the chart table, does not encroach into the floor space, making the layout all the more spacious. Very well furnished, comfortable dining for the whole complement is a thoughtful provision, just as the large comprehensive galley also allows plenty of scope for fairly sophisticated entertaining.

Above the deck the cutter rig, ideal for easy cruising, gives the 56 a very well-balanced and elegant appearance, and on deck the large cockpit offers plenty of space to either enjoy the sailing or the sun, although plenty more deck space has also been well planned forward. And when it gets too hot to bear, wide bathing steps have been built into the transom on the Taswell 56.
